Show Music Core Episode 892

MBC’s Show Music Core continued the week of big surprises. The solo sisters Seulgi from Red Velvet with her second solo comeback “Baby, Not Baby” and Yeji from Itzy with her debut solo song “Air” had great performances. Even in the interview by the MCs, Yeji and Seulgi showed sisterhood as soloist from ggs who were promoting at the same time. They could be rivals but it looks to be friendly sisterly competition. With respect to rivals, it seems that this music show does not want to put KiiiKiii and Hearts2Hearts as rivals. Both groups are usually put back to back but here they’re separated. Is it because one of the members of Hearts2Hearts is MC of this music show? So KiiiKiii performs “I Do Me” first. Then Say My Name performs their comeback “ShaLala”. Later Hearts2Hearts performs their debut song “The Chase”. They are not set up as rivals for this show. Speaking of Say My Name, Hitomi formerly from IzOne also performed. Le Sserafim who has Chaewon and Sakura both who were formerly from IzOne had their comeback with 2 songs “Hot” and “Come Over”. I’m patiently waiting for the former IzOne tiktok collabs. Finally, Illit performed “Almond Chocolate” Korean version. What’s surprising is having 2 ggs from Hybe perform on the same shows and seemingly having the same comeback schedules. Let’s see if this strategy works.
